Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales DVD review

Available on DVD:       October 5th
Official Site URL:        www.peanutsdvd.com
Released by:                Warner Bros.

Available now, Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales was a nice treat to watch.  I had already seen A Charlie Brown Christmas recently, so it was like I was revisiting old friends.

This DVD features five vignettes (animated shorts) of our favorite Peanuts characters.  One of my favorite vignettes was the the one I have embedded below -- Linus writing his letter to Santa, telling him to go ahead and skip his house.  Lucy, of course, wasn't down with that idea!  His attempts at a letter to Santa show that Linus is in tune with the true meaning of Christmas.

There is also a bonus episode, Is this Goodbye, Charlie Brown? that deals with Linus breaking the news that he is moving, intertwined with Peppermint Patty's realization that she likes Charlie Brown. This bonus episode was interesting to watch, considering my daughter's best friend moved away a few months ago.  It has been an adjustment for her, having her friend move away.  On the flip side, we hope to move in the next year and in that case, we will be the ones leaving friends behind.

Own it on DVD:  You can purchase your own copy of Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales and other Peanuts DVDs at www.peanutsdvd.com.
