Virginia's tax free weekend is this upcoming weekend, Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, 2015. Not sure exactly what's covered? Review this pdf from the Department of Revenue before you head out to the stores.
Have a baby shower coming up? Baby receiving blankets, bibs, rubber pants, and clothing are included in their exempt list, as are diapers (including adult diapers, if you know someone who needs to stock up).
Are you a bride or know one? Bridal gowns and veils that are purchased and not rented are also eligible items. So go ahead and say yes to that dress!
Neighboring states' tax free weeks/weekends....
Maryland: Maryland's tax free week overlaps by one day. It is August 9 through 15. See this link for more information.
Tennessee: Tennessee's tax free weekend 2015 is August 7 through 9, same as Virginia's. Need a computer? They will let you buy it tax free (up to $1,500). See this link for more information.
North Carolina: Sorry, folks. NC no longer has tax free weekends.
