Inside Out Wins Golden Globe (review)

Inside Out, a Disney-Pixar animated movie about feelings and coming of age, won a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture, Animated.

We Redboxed this video last Friday night and I have to tell you, I was surprised.  Normally, I'm not one to watch animated movies.  I just don't like them.  I know!  It's crazy.  If you have kids, you are supposed to like kid movies. But I don't.

So, when we popped in the DVD, I was expecting to take a nap.  Seriously.  But the movie drew me in and there was plenty adult humor in there to keep it interesting.  The take away was a good one too:  It's OK to be sad and have mixed emotions associated with memories.  You need all of your emotions to make life fulfilling, to grow and learn, and to mature into adulthood.

I recommend this movie to parents, teachers, and even counselors as it does have a great message about feelings.

It's available at Amazon if you're interested! Ships free on Prime.  Also available in Redbox if you're just looking to rent it.
