I found this review for the same vacuum, but it has different opinion and points, in addition to some similarities: http://bestvacuumscleaner.com/dirt-devil-easy-lite-quick-vac-review/
What do you think? Do you agree with that person?
Thank you again!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438368668223871493.post-91442300249024481332015-04-27T13:01:03.410-04:002015-04-27T13:01:03.410-04:00I don't recommend this vacuum at all.
Does not...I don't recommend this vacuum at all.
Does not work on vinyl flooring,, tile or low pile rugs. First time I used it on my kitchen floor I thought it was great until I realized that the dirt had been blown behind me. Finally used a broom.
I bought this vacuum for a low final sale price. Big mistake. Assembly instructions are not updated.
Attachments fall off
Filter clogs quickly and is not easy to put back on.
Works fine on my med pile rugs only.
Save your money and buy something else.
I use many different vacuums and this is the worst.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438368668223871493.post-63545935085240068932012-10-20T20:24:03.063-04:002012-10-20T20:24:03.063-04:00We purchased this vacuum a month ago and decided t...We purchased this vacuum a month ago and decided that for now we would just go the less expensive route. I found it at Target at it worked great until today. I have spent ALL day taking it apart and trying to find the reason for there being absolutely NO suction. I have not found a single clog or issue in the hose or in the canister and filter. I don't know what's up, but I'm really sad I spent $49 on it instead of just getting a more costly vacuum. :(Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12684898430088230768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438368668223871493.post-62111391360379584652012-10-20T20:23:10.639-04:002012-10-20T20:23:10.639-04:00We purchased this vacuum a month ago and decided t...We purchased this vacuum a month ago and decided that for now we would just go the less expensive route. If it is the one I'm thinking it is, there's a screw hole just above the top cord holder on the back. You'll screw it in from the back and the screw should end up flush (ish) when you take the canister out in the front. If that's not what you meant, please leave another comment and I'll try to help you. I assembled it a quite some time ago and my memory is fading some.

The vacuum still works, though I have far less carpet these days! Just be sure to wash the filter out every now and then and allow it to air dry.Pinching Abehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11049699112785811449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438368668223871493.post-81671470301544040722011-12-28T09:30:47.464-05:002011-12-28T09:30:47.464-05:00DirtDevil.com has some manuals available. Once you release the canister from the vacuum and then release the dirt into a garbage can, reach in and grab hold of the plastic piece hanging down. Mine turns to the right. The piece actually slides and locks in place. So reach in, grab it, turn it to the right and then take off the hair. To put it back in, you'll need to line it back up to snug it back in tight. Hope that helps.Pinching Abehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11049699112785811449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5438368668223871493.post-87244931313801537102011-05-08T22:29:10.475-04:002011-05-08T22:29:10.475-04:00So for whatever reason I can't figure out how ...So for whatever reason I can't figure out how to pull out the middle piece while emptying the canister. Mine is showing as being snugged on by only about one and a half turns (from the end of the bolt). I hope that makes some sense. I have an older bagged Dirt Devil that is extremely loud so this noise didn't bother me one bit. My four year old finally stopped hiding in the closet (he couldn't take the noise of my other DD).

While vacuuming I just wanted to keep going and going because I was so excited to see all of the filth that was coming out of my carpet. It sort of looked like I never vacuumed before but I am a several time a week carper cleaning person so it SHOCKED me to see all of the carpet fibers and dirt, etc that this little power tool pulled up.

Also, like you I have severe allergies and was amazed that they did not flare up one time during the canister dumping periods (I had to do 6 dumps).

You are right about the attachments. Luckily I have a larger DD so I just use the wand and other attachments from that one.

Thus far I am very pleased with my purchase.K Willisnoreply@blogger.com
