Today while shopping, I found a rebate for $25 back on a $50 holiday purchase, including gift cards. No beer purchase required... sounds pretty easy to do. Worst case scenario, buy $50 in gift cards and send away for half of your money back! Easy as pie, right?
No. Well... no if you think it is too much work. I swear my eyes nearly bugged out of my head as I made conversation with a clerk at that store, taking great pains to explain in a minute or less just how that particular rebate would work. Still, he thought it was too much work... just how much work is it to buy a gift card worth $50, save the receipt, fill out the form, address an envelope and put a stamp on it and mail it? Does he not do something similar to this at least monthly when he writes out his bills? This same guy probably makes $10 an hour if he is lucky. Yet can't be bothered to spend about 5-10 minutes to do a rebate that would give him back $25? Now that is just crazy!
Heck yeah! I would do that rebate in a snap!
ReplyDeleteThe way I look at it is $25 in free Christmas gifts!
It's so weird to hear people cry and complain about money, bills, the economy and everything else but when something like this comes along that will put more money back in their pocket - they don't want anything to do with it.
