March may be a good month to join a warehouse club like Sams or BJs because Discover is running a promotion through the month of March whereby you receive 5% cash back on up to $200 in purchases. That's a full $10 bucks in cash back rewards if you spend the max... bearing in mind that a membership to BJs or Sams is going to set you back about $40, it may be a good deal if for nothing else other than getting a slight discount via the Discover Cash Back Rewards program on your membership.
Don't forget: Allstate has a Sam's Club promo where you get a 1 day pass free and anything you buy that day is surcharge free. To read more about this promo that ends 3/31/09, please see my previous post.
One nice thing about BJ's vs. Sam's Club is that BJ's accepts manufacturer's coupons. If you don't have a Walgreens to cash in on those printable $5 and $3 Huggies coupons at Coupon.com, it could be worth it to try to use them at BJ's on the bulk boxes there.
