Free magazines

Who doesn't love a freebie? I can't say that I know many people who don't. Did you know there are ways to get free magazines? Let me share some of my secrets with you.

First, there is the mycokerewards.com site. I wouldn't say this is free because you did have to buy the pop to get the codes, but really you were just going to throw the cap or cardboard box away anyway. Entering codes at MCR will allow you to bank them and cash in for a magazine. Usually they carry Cosmo, Oprah, Good Housekeeping and various other magazines. Added benefit: once you redeem, you will get an email almost immediately with a code. You follow the link, enter the code and the recipient's address. This means that you can save your codes and redeem for magazines that you wish to be sent to others. A great gift!

Secondly, I signed up with e-rewards and do their surveys for e-rewards cash. Unfortunately, you cannot cash out for actual money. Instead you can claim magazine subscriptions (some in Spanish) and a host of other things. If you haven't joined, you may want to hop over to www.e-rewards.com and see if they have any partners that are offering invitations. As of this writing, they are not. However, they are often open to gaining new panelists. Their surveys are usually pretty quick and you get a small amount added to your account if you do not qualify. Through taking surveys here, I was able to bank enough money to get a half dozen family members subscriptions to various magazines such as Golf Digest, Lucky, Prevention and many more.

Another site to get occasional magazine freebies is startsampling.com. Startsampling often offers magazines as well as some free samples. Currently, startsampling.com is offering 24 issues of Parents magazine gratis, as well as a Bridal magazine.

On a final note, before I subscribe to any magazines, I do a Google search for the name of the magazine and include the word "free" in the search box. If you found a magazine subscription site, do a search for the name of the site and the phrase "online coupon code." You may just be pleasantly surprised to find a discount you didn't know about!
