Back-to-school: Mead notebooks at Target with Cosmo Girl free subscription/Mead Money Madness Promo

While in Target yesterday, we decided to take a look at their back-to-school section to see what goodies we could find. I did find some Mead multi-subject notebooks had an insert offering a free subscription of Cosmo Girl. The free Cosmo Girl subscription offer was only on larger multi-subject notebooks, and not the cheap ones. The 4 subject Mead notebook that I did see it on was about $3.50, so really not a bad price to pay for a notebook and receive a free magazine subscription as a bonus. Bear in mind that Mead is also running its Mead Money Madness, where you can buy Mead products and bank the points for rewards. Sadly, it isn't tied in with an instant win game this year, but when I did visit the site - www.meadmoneymadness.com - I did see that rewards are tiered and it will take 1,000 points to get a $5 Amazon certificate. The site does offer some activities to help you bank some points, but plan on the bulk coming from purchases. In addition, the Mead Money Madness promo site did indicate that emails from Mead could include bonus codes and that bonus codes were on some products.

Our child's back-to-school list was mercifully short and non-expensive looking. We found Elmer Glue Sticks there for .20 a pack, so .10 each stick. That was about what I paid for some last year. The regular Elmer Glue was .22 a bottle (Target brand was just a few pennies cheaper at .19 per bottle) and we picked up a ruler for .50.
