Jiffy Lube Rewards - are you signed up?

Today I got my oil changed. Now, this is amazing for several reasons, the most of which is that it is a chore I hate, yet I did it the day after the car told me it needed done. (Oddly enough, I wonder if I listen better to the car than my spouse?) Seeing as how he will be needing the car for a long trip in the near future, I figured I'd better get the oil changed toute-de-suite else I'd have the car parent guilt syndrome for ignoring the display (aside from the fact that I don't know how to turn it off - it flashes like an annoying beacon, one that nags you like a wife or something).

So, though I am not a huge fan of Jiffy Lube (the past few times there has been nothing "Jiffy" about it - the oil change takes forever...) I tossed caution to the wind and took the car in for it's 5 quart renewal. At check in, they signed me up for their Jiffy Lube Rewards program. How the program works is that you must get 2 oil changes within a specified period of time (180 days from each other) and the third one is automatically half off - a savings for me that would be about $20. There's no cards to carry and the computer tracks everything. The oil change tally is car specific; it has to be the same car whose oil is changed.

If you want to join, you can at JiffyLubeRewards.com. The FAQ does say that you can get special offers for signing up - that could mean some coupon savings. The 50% is only good on a Signature Oil Change, not service. Still, if you are a loyal Jiffy Lube customer, this could turn out to be fantastic savings for you.
