GlassesUSA review - Why you should consider buying your glasses online at GlassesUSA

I was recently given the opportunity to receive a free pair of eyeglasses courtesy of GlassesUSA. The opinions stated herein are 100% my own. Though I received these glasses at no cost for review purposes, I offer my honest review as follows:

Initially, I was hesitant to order prescription eyeglasses over the Internet, sight unseen. Would they fit? Would they be the right prescription? However, now that I have received my new glasses from GlassesUSA, that anxiety has gone by the way side. I couldn't be more pleased with them. In fact, my husband told me that he liked the glasses I got from GlassesUSA better
than the ones I just got at LensCrafters. After surfing their site and spending a lot of time looking at a lot of glasses, I settled on the Houston Silver rimless glasses (see below).I chose them because they were similar to ones that I had seen at LensCrafters that I liked but did not select. They retail for $54.95, including the single vision lenses.
I considered these frames.... but thought they would look too much like my neighbor's.

How does GlassesUSA get your prescription? You can fax it or scan it and send it as an attachment. If you need help, there is hel
p available via a toll free number and also via email. I chose to fax my prescription in. Easy as pie! I knew, also, when I selected the Houston Silver rimless glasses that they would fit my face. This is because measurements were provided and I simply matched them to the ones I read off my own glasses.
I also considered these red, rimless ones, but thought the red rims would look better on a blonde... something I'm not!

My new pair of prescription glasses came via priority mail, though they do offer different shipping options. The hard case that they arrived in was much needed, as the post office squooshed my box just a little bit, but they were well protected in the hard case. They also arrived with a soft cleaning cloth so that I would have something to clean my glasses with so that they would not scratch. My new glasses came just as we were getting ready to drive an hour to Richmond, Virginia to shop. What better way to test drive my new glasses? I put them on right away and was very impressed. They were perfect and I knew immediately that my prescription was correct. Because of my experience with filling my prescription for glasses online at GlassesUSA, I would have no hesitation recommending them to my friends and blog readers.

Who would benefit from buying eyeglasses online? I was so impressed with my eyeglasses that I started thinking of people that I could tell about my experience. I have a friend who has her son give her his glasses before he goes to play rough. I thought of her because she could use a service like GlassesUSA to pick up an inexpensive spare set for him. Kids break their glasses; it is just a given! Though they don't have a kids' section on site, parents can certainly browse through and see if there are any that might fit their child based upon the measurements provided. I know I was at least 21 before I stopped breaking a pair of glasses per year. I can remember my parents carefully planning our vision needs around tax time when they got their tax refund.

I also thought of senior citizens who are on a fixed income. For many on tight budgets, getting new glasses is a luxury that they can't afford. Instead, they repair their glasses with super glue or tape. Vision needs shouldn't cost an arm and a leg and GlassesUSA is certainly budget friendly. Frames, lenses included, start at $18 and they even carry some designer frames. Also nice is the many ways you can shop for glasses - by price, gender or style.

Each Eyeglasses order contains
  • Quality single vision lenses (or whatever your ordered; some frames can work for other lens types) ---> My prescription was spot on!
  • Free case and cloth --> Keep your eyeglasses from being scratched by using the cloth to clean them and the hard, protective case to store them.
  • Polished lens edges ---> Did you know that Lenscrafters charges $25 to buff your edges? I didn't. I called to ask why my other pair wasn't buffed because it snags on my clothing if I leave my glasses on when dressing. They told me this was extra. If you knew what I paid for my other glasses, you wouldn't be happy about this either.
  • 100% satisfaction guarantee ---> If you aren't happy, you can return your glasses.
About GlassesUSA

Did you know that GlassesUSA offers a satisfaction guarantee? Any glasses that are returned are not restocked; instead, they are given to various establishments all across the USA, where they are sanitized and given to people all over the world, with the correct prescription.

GlassesUSA has offered me this code to help my readers save 5% on their first order: Mommy5
This code never expires. Be sure to follow GlassesUSA on Twitter and friend them on Facebook because I have seen high value discount codes released there as well.

Overall, I am very pleased with my experience. I hope you will be too!

Disclosure: The eyeglasses that I received were provided to me at no cost in exchange for my honest review. The ARV of the glasses I received to review was approximately $55.

I haven't tried your company but I did recently discover http://www.eyeglassuniverse.com. They are based in the USA and my frame and hi index lenses were only half as much as I paid just Walmart two years ago. You might check them out.
