Crayola products review & giveaway - great for Christmas gifts! #MyBlogSpark {Crayola Giveaway!}

As a blogger, one of the things that I love, love, love to do is try out new products.  As kids of a blogger, one thing my kids love, love, love to do is try out new products.  I recently was out of state caring for my mom and a box arrived from Crayola and MyBlogSpark.  My husband opened it and the kids (allegedly) started salivating like a pack of wild animals.  He held them at bay until I returned home and then it was a free-for-all for the goodies in the box.  Take a look at what was sent to test out...

I loved this.  Remember, I grew up on a box with a sharpener inside.  This has the sharpener in the middle (very convenient) and you can see the colors of the rainbow displayed so you will know just which one is the perfect color for whatever you're coloring.  My 6 year old son loved this way more than his sister.  She was more interested in another item, shown below.

The telescoping part is what I loved most.  You can pull up the plastic handle and then turn to get it to lock.  When you're done, simply un-do and it's ready to store for next time.

The Glow Book was super cool too.  My son snatched this up and made it say, "Mom is #1" in glowing light.  Ok, first it said, "Stevie is #1", but I'll let him slide on that one.  Still, it's a cool toy for someone who wants to play around with animation.  It has four layers, so you won't animate far, but it's just fine for a younger child who wants to have a little bit of fun in the dark.

It also comes with some pages your child can trace, a big plus for me.  The ability to switch colors of markers helps bring definition to the picture you're drawing too.

The Ultimate Art Supplies Crayola product was something my 10 year old daughter snatched up.  She is forever drawing pictures (of horses, lately) and likes having everything in one case.  She did complain that when you opened the case, something always fell out.  If she opened it on one side, the markers tumbled out.  If she opened it on the other, the paper came out.  So I wish there was an easier fix for making those items stay, but it's not something that would detract from the value of what's inside.

However, the biggest hit was the Crayola Jewelry Boutique.  My daughter fell in love with this jewelry making kit and has had a blast all week making beads and stringing them together as jewelry.  In fact, Santa may have bought a few Crayola Jewelry Boutique kits for Christmas after seeing how much she enjoyed letting her creativity flow through jewelry.  The drying rack makes it easy to keep your beads the shape you make them and the glaze gives them a protective coat that makes them shine.

I would love to give the Jewelry Boutique to the girls I babysit because they love doing crafts and this looks like something very different and fun! I also like that it is more complex than just stringing beads. Thanks!
