Making Ends Meet: After Christmas Clearance: Ideas for coupons on brands to pull now to be ready

December 26 means the start of after Christmas clearance sales and if you have a little downtime beforehand, here is an idea of some coupons that you might want to pull out of your binder to use. My thanks to my friend, Mona, who helped me compile a list of brands/products to look for the day after Christmas when you're hunting up bargains.

Ziploc, Bounty, Glad, Dixie -- there are holiday cookie plastic/plastic wrap/paper towels/holiday plates/napkins etc. and these typically go on clearance, particularly at Target.

Pillsbury -- their refrigerated holiday cookies will go on clearance as well. Pick them up extra cheap using a coupon if you have one. These freeze well. Have a coupon for their frosting? They have several holiday themed products out for frosting and cakes.

Betty Crocker -- there are holiday themed cookies and frosting this year. Hoping for a markdown! Bettycrocker.com members can print a .60/1 coupon good on the pouches (14 oz or larger)

Colgate/Oral B (toothpaste brands) -- Holiday packaging of toothbrushes (who doesn't get one of those in their stocking?) and toothpaste combo sets are great to pick up on clearance with coupon.

Puffs, Kleenex -- Look for holiday themed Kleenex in the regular aisles at Target/Walmart as these were not with the normal seasonal items.

Glade -- look for holiday themed candles and scents to be marked down.

Keebler, Pepperidge Farms, Ritz -- Look around for holiday cookies and crackers to be on clearance.

Softsoap or other soaps -- these may also go on clearance.
