One income essential: Refundcents.com gives great tips on what's on sale, what's on clearance and where to find a deal on almost everything

Refundcents.com (formerly Refunding Makes Cents) is a site owned and operated by Michele Easter. She still publishes her refunding magazine, but the site is where most of the action is. Subscribing to the site costs very little: $12 a year for on line access only and a bit more if you wish to receive the print magazine. There is also a $4 option for 3 months, just $1.33 per month. She accepts PayPal and Credit Credit cards, or you can drop a check in the mail.

I do find that most deals are short lived and that time is of the essence. By the time you would read about a deal in a magazine, it is often too late to get in on it yourself. However, for new refunders, the magazine itself is a great resource filled with articles about how others cashed in on a particular deal.

One board on Refundcents that is particularly busy is the Centsible Chat. Here is where the subscribers post the deals they have found, which stores have great sales and clearances, not to mention whether or not a deal is still working. These ladies and gents really know how to get something dirt cheap!

I joined Refundcents.com a few years ago upon the insistence of my sister. Back then, I wasn't one to use coupons or do rebates very much. I am so glad I joined though because it has saved me so much money over the past few years. If you would like to join and wish to use me as a referral, please click here.
