Try me free: Bandit Shipping tape (spotted at Walmart)

Bandit shipping tape 2" x 1,600:/44 yd

Packing tape is something that I use at my house frequently, so I was glad to see this try me free for some Bandit shipping tape.  There's quite a bit on the roll and at 3 bucks, it was a good buy, more especially since it's free after rebate.

The try me free form is inside the packaging and runs through December 31, 2012.  It's valid only on this product, so you'll need to find the product with the try me free logo on it.  I found this one in the home/office section with the other tape products.

Right Bites Try Me Free Rebate

Food rebates are always nice to find.  You can try  100 Calorie Right Bites Keebler White Fudge Dipped Pretzels for free.  Print the rebate form here

You'll need the token from the package, so be sure to save it to send in your submission.  This try me free rebate doesn't expire until 8/31/2012, though it has the 'while supplies last' caveat listed below that date.

Try Me Free peelies: Arm and Hammer Toss 'n Done Clean Burst

Spied at Walmart today!  This rebate runs through the end of the year and is good up to $9.99.  I didn't buy it, mainly because I have to use dye free here or my kid gets the itchies.  Still, it's a great way to try a new product on the cheap!  All it will cost is postage.

Speaking of try me free rebates, Arm and Hammer has a try me free rebate out for it's Ultra Last Baking Soda Coated cat litter litter (20 pound only, up to $8.99).  Print your form for that here.  It expires 3/31, so you'll need to buy it soon.  Here's an image so you'll know what the box looks like:

As always, keep a copy of your submissions in case you need to follow up.

Hodgson Mill $5 rebate (gluten free)

I was excited to see a $5 mail-in rebate offer on a box of Hodgson Mill gluten free baking flour.  The rebate is actually good for Hodgson Mill, Don's Chuckwagon, or Kentucky Kernal products, and you need to buy 10 to qualify for the $5 rebate.  However, one nice thing about this rebate is that you need only save UPCs; meaning you don't have to keep track of your store receipts if you aren't a frequent buyer.

The rebate runs through 12/31/2012 and you can do this rebate multiple times (once every four months).  Unfortunately, this offer is not good on purchases you make online or via a catalog.

Dollar General Buy One, Get One Free GE CFL bulb rebate (ends 4/30/12)

I found a new rebate form today at Dollar General.  Buy One, Get One Free after mail-in rebate (up to $20)  if you purchase two (2) 13-watt or 26-watt Mini Spiral CFL one packs for $5 each.  This offer is only good at Dollar General.

Some details...
  • You have to purchase them in twos (each cost $5)
  • Participating products are UPC 0-43168-81470-6 and/or 0-43168-81688-5 (mix or match)
  • You need the UPC symbols from the packages, so be sure to save them
  • Max is $20 back (total of 8 purchased) per household.
  • Purchases must be made between 12/15/2011 and 4/30/2012, received by them by 5/30/2012.  Limit 1 rebate form --- so you'll need to make all your purchases at one time and send them all in on one submission.
  • The form is available on special displays at Dollar General stores.  Purchases must be made at Dollar General.
How do you feel about CFL bulbs?  We use them, though not extensively in our home.  We only use them in lights that are encased with a cover since we have had some break and fall to the floor in the past (without us hitting it by accident).  The clean up of the mercury (ever read those instructions?) and treating it like a hazmat event concern us.

La Crème coffee creamer rebate (printable) - exp 12/31

Attention coffee drinkers who like a little something extra in their daily cup of java!  La Crème is offering a try me free rebate via Facebook.  Just like their page and print out a rebate form.

Terms and conditions of the La Crème rebate offer (up to $2.99):
  • Purchase a 16 oz bottle between 10/1/2011 and 12/31/2011;
  • Circle your purchase, including price paid;
  • Mail it, along with the rebate form, into the address provided on the form and do so with enough time to spare to ensure it's received by 12/31/2011.
Sorry about that bold, but I wanted to alert you that it actually has to be received by 12/31, though it lists purchase date up to 12/31.  Please allow extra time if you're planning to purchase in December - the mail tends to bog down due to Christmas cards.

Free Prevacid 24HR 28 ct with coupon and mail-in rebate

The Prevacid 24HR 28 count rebate offer just started on September 18th.  You'll have until November 18th to take advantage of the offer too, so there's lots of time to find a good price.

Note:  This rebate offer makes the item free after coupon and rebate.  So if you purchase the product without using the $4 coupon, you'll only get the purchase price minus the $4 coupon back, which won't make it free.

3M or Post It Label Rebate offer - $10 back on $20 purchase

Purchase $20 worth of 3M or Post It labels and receive a $10 rebate.  You can go here to print the form.  I don't know how much one package costs though.  If anyone has any pricing, let me know.  This would be a good rebate to pass along to a small business owner.  I don't think I can use that many labels here at home!

Freshetta By the Slice - look for a try me free (in box)

Freshetta has a new offer that is a try me free.  The try me free rebate offer is inside the pizza box from what I've gathered from those who have found the specially marked packages.  The packages are marked with a bright red notice of the offer in the bottom left-hand corner.  If you've found these, please leave a comment to let others know which stores are carrying these SMP TMFs!  The offer runs through 5/31, so there's still time to find them, try them, and request your rebate.

Iams Dog/Cat Food rebate offer

Iams has a dog food rebate offer out right now and you can print the form from here.

Buy any 2 lbs or larger bag of Iams dog food, and mail it in with the printable form, upc, and dated cash register receipt showing purchase between 2/1/2011 and 6/30/2011.  The fine print does state it is limited to the first 15,000 submissions.

I hate it when companies do this.  How do you know when you purchase that you aren't number 15,001?

Don't have a dog, but have some kitties instead?  The form for the cat food offer can be found here. The terms and conditions are pretty much identical, except for sizing.

Special K: Satisfaction guarantee

Many products offer a satisfaction guarantee, including Special K.  Did you know that Special K now has added fiber?  They are guaranteeing that it will taste the same or your money back.  I don't eat this cereal because of my food allergy, but my daughter just loves it.  She's pretty finicky when it comes to cereal, so I'm interested to see if she notices the taste difference.

Details you want to know!
  • Printable form is needed.  You can access it here.
  • Offer expires 12/31/11
  • You need the UPC and the receipt to prove purchase
  • One per household per flavor.  <-- There are many varieties of Special K!
Have you tried it yet and noticed (or not) a different flavor in your favorite Special K variety?  Let me know!  Please leave me a comment.

Febreze NOTICEables Scented Oil Warmer Rebate Offer

I'm a fan of Febreze NOTICEables.  I love the scents and have tried a good many of them in my home.  I especially liked the Moroccan Bazaar for it's unique spicy scent!  Right now, Febreze has a rebate offer to "Trade Up" to a Febreze NOTICEables.

What you need to do is buy a Febreze NOTICEables scented oil warmer after 1/1/2011, but before 6/30/2011 and send in your receipt with the downloadable rebate form.  You'll get up to $3.50 back.  The offer is also good for a Febreze NOTICEables warmer 2-pack or a Febreze NOTICEables scented warmer with decorative cover.

I'll be looking for this product to try soon!  Wait until tomorrow to buy within the specified rebate period.

Dishwasher Magic rebate: try me free

Recently, I spied a try me free for Dishwasher Magic at my local hardware store.  There was a nice, cardboard display filled with the product with bright try me free tags hanging around the neck.

When I went to claim the rebate - which you do solely online - I was a bit confused.  The promo code and the rebate redemption code, though printed on the bottle, weren't easily identifiable.  I thought that the numbers on there were perhaps a date code?  The screen will prompt you if you click on the link to tell you where to look, but the codes should definitely be more clearly marked as to what they are.

Other than that, the process was fairly simple.  No mailing of the receipt, so that saves postage.

Look for these try me frees at places like hardware stores and Walmart.  One thing I didn't like was this language on the rebate site:

Offer good while supplies last.
Manufacturer reserves the right to discontinue program at any time.
This offer is scheduled to run through the end of February 2011.  I don't like that the manufacturer is reserving the right to discontinue the program since people buy in good faith and if it is advertised as a try me free, then they should fulfill all legitimate requests for refund.

Found a new rebate form: Prestone De-Icer Buy 1, Get 1 free form

I found a new rebate form the other day at my local Dollar General.  Prrestone De-Icer windshield wiper fluids were priced at $3 each and had a buy 1, get 1 free back by mail peelie on them.  I was planning to make a purchase anyway since I had spirited off with my husband's car, thinking (he he he) I will burn off his gas and not mine.  Unfortunately, he had no wiper fluid!  Since it is turning colder here, I figured the de-icer couldn't hurt.  We drove back home to PA between Christmas and New Year's last year and apparently didn't have fluid that would hold up to the cold temps (I barely held up to them myself).  We were below Pittsburgh before the fluid heated up enough to unfreeze.  So, I'm thinking that this would be good to put in our car just in case we need to go back this winter.

  • Rebate is a peel off form on the product
  • Offer good 9/1/2010 through 3/31/2011
  • Must buy two to get 1 free
  • Need dated receipt from a store
  • Max two rebates per household
