Amazon Price Drop? Call or email to get a refund of difference

You bought something on Amazon and notice it has dropped in price. Perhaps you shrug your shoulders and think you are just out the money. This is not so! If you purchase a product at Amazon (and not one of its affiliates or aStore members) and the price drops within 30 days of purchase, you can either call or email them to ask for a refund of the difference. This is especially important to remember if you are shopping for Christmas gifts. The pricing of items on Amazon is quite volatile. A book in my Favorites list (right side bar) was about $8 a week ago and $1.80 yesterday. As of this posting, the book is down another .10 cents. Most people wouldn't bother over .10, but $6.20? Perhaps.

As a general rule, I make a point of checking the prices a week or two after I purchase the item. While the savings sometimes amounts to but a few dollars, over the long haul it can add up to quite a bit. Shh... don't tell my mother I called and requested a $4 refund on the item I had shipped to her for Christmas...
