McDonalds treat booklets are a cheap snack for kids

Top of the morning to you! Now that it is March, my mind turns toward McDonalds and their delicious Shamrock Shakes that I can only get this time of year. I must confess, I have been jonesing for one for quite some time. They haven't arrived in my area yet, but very soon I am told (yes, I asked!)

While jonesing for my shake fix, it is brought to mind that McDonalds does have good deals on some things. For instance, many McDonalds' sell a sheet of coupons for free treats for just $1. You can usually buy them around Halloween, though many offer them throughout the year. These come with coupons for free fries, free cookie, free small cone, free small drink, etc., and come with about 10 per sheet. These items generally appear on the Dollar Menu, so being able to snag them for .10 each is a steal.

Of course, these coupons are meant for children and, in fact, strictly forbid adult use with language on the back. Some may even limit how many you can use per visit (just circle the drive thru or plainly tell the cashier that you intend to use two and if you need to drive around again, you are more than willing!). However, these are nice to have when your kids just need a little snack. I buy them for just this purpose and even an extra sheet to send to school for the teacher to use as a reward in her prize box. These are also nice, cheap gifts to tuck into the birthday cards of young children.
