Land O' Lakes Reward Program: Earn rewards like Fandango movie tickets just by buying butter

Earlier this year, I became aware of the Land O’Lakes Reward Program. The gist of the program is that you buy Land O’Lakes products and save the UPC code from the packaging. You then enter the codes online at the Land O’ Lakes site and ultimately mail in the UPCs when you have enough to redeem for a prize that you are interested in receiving.

Terms and conditions for this offer can be found here and also includes a handy list of UPCs and their corresponding point values. There is a maximum of 1,200 points per participant.

However, that is more than enough to redeem for some nice prizes, which include:

350 point level, a $15 ARV: A one year subscription to either Blueprint or Everyday Food magazines

400 point level, approximately $20 ARV: Free coupons for Land O’ Lakes products or a Silicone baster and pot holder. (Note: The terms and conditions do indicate that some coupons may not be valid in CA due to dairy laws.)

450 point level, approximately $35 value: 4 Fandango Movie Ticket codes or Nordic Ware Holiday Muffin pan.

It does seem like you need to buy a lot of butter or margarine to get the larger prizes, but if you have a large family, you’ll likely get there in no time flat. As for me, we use Land O’ Lakes in our home and I have several UPCs already. The program runs through June 30, 2008, though to be safe, you should submit your UPC and redemption form well in advance, as no late submissions will be accepted.

This program is great for families because you do receive a tangible reward for brand loyalty. A few minutes clipping UPCs can add up to a free movie night for your family.
