Observation about site traffic - living on one income

I signed up for Sitemeter back when I first opened this blog and the site has been extremely helpful to me in determining just how people stumble upon my site. I can log in to Sitemeter and see how many visitors have come to my site on a particular day and click on the Referral tab and see just how they got here.

Over the past month, I have received a fair amount of search engine hits for people looking for the keywords "living on one income", "making ends meet", "one income families" and various other combinations of the same basic words. I don't know if this is a trend or if my blog is finally just starting to get more searchable, but I am wondering if if it is a sign of the times? Gas prices at the pump are skyrocketing and food prices are too. I am curious if my visitors are looking to make ends meet on the income they make now or if they are looking to see if one parent can stay home while the other works and still make it?

So, if you've stumbled on my blog by search engine (or if you are a loyal subscriber) what ultimately led you here? Are you trying to keep more money in your pocket or are you planning to quit and stay home with kids? Please help me understand this better and leave your comments as to what led you to search for those magical keywords.

Thanks as always!
