My spouse and I have been married for over 12 years and I clearly remember my mother-in-law fishing for gift ideas way back when. I told her that if she didn't want her son to starve, then I really could use a cook book. Enter Betty Crocker, my new best friend. He didn't starve, though he had to suffer a bit while I learned how to cook (and truth be told, he is a better cook than me, though he doesn't cook near as often as he once did.) Cooking is something I do not enjoy (right up there with laundry), so when I saw Jenny-O's Oven Ready Turkey, I knew I had to give it a try. All I can say is wow. It was better than I expected! Plus, I had found a $10 rebate in the wine aisle to sweeten the buying experience. Alas and alack, I was not able to find any $5 coupons that a friend in another part of Virginia had luck getting from her Food Lion meat manager.
If you are interested in reading my product review, please check out this article: Jenny-O Oven Ready Turkey Product Review. I really and truly loved not touching the poultry. I remember my very first turkey cooking experience and I called my step-mom to ask her what what shoved up the turkey's backside. She calmly explained that it was the neck and that was not it's hind end! I hate looking at giblets too, so this no fuss, no muss way to cook a turkey was right up my alley.
