The February issue of Parents magazine has a coupon (exp 12/31/09) good for $1 off any 1 Carefree product. The last time I looked, Dollar General had some smaller packages for $1, and even if they raised the price a little since then, there's potential to get a package very inexpensively at the least.
I have used Carefree liners I've gotten free in the past with my Swiffer when I've run out of Swiffer pads. Not a great long term solution, but good for needing to clean up in a pinch.
Parents magazine subscriptions can often be found for free - there are various sites out there now with active links - but tread carefully to avoid spam. I am pretty sure the subscription I am receiving now came via Startsampling.com.
