Save money on your groceries at Alice.com

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alice.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

Alice.com - Save money on your groceries by shopping for items at home.

Even die hard bargain hunters are loyal to some brands. I know I am loyal to certain brands and I scour the Sunday paper for coupons so that I can stock up when the price is good.

I recently found Alice.com, a site dedicated to giving customers a good price on name brand items and free shipping too. When I shop at Amazon.com, sometimes I just don't want to buy a case of something. Alice.com lets shoppers find a good price on brand items and only buy just one - not a case. Did I mention free shipping? You do need to order 6 items for the free shipping, but I am sure you'll find some good things to put in your cart.

Tonight when I checked out their site, I did find lower than average prices on some items. One really nice thing about Alice.com is that they partner with manufacturers to offer online coupons - so there's no need to clip or think "I have to buy that at the store because I have a coupon..." - if there is a coupon available to them to offer you, you get that coupon off your order.

*Some great finds (for me, at least) were Snuggle Exhilarations, priced at $4.66 for the 32 oz bottle. A $2 coupon was available, bringing the cost down to $2.66 per 32 oz bottle - a great price. Also of interest to me were the prices on Pounce cat treats. Those on sale at the local Food Lion were $1.25 each and the Alice.com price was between $1.13 and $1.22.

I went to the site bent on just checking it out, but I actually ended up placing an order. For $8.36 I got:

Item
Qty. Unit Price Total

Pounce Cat Treats, Crunchy Tuna Flavor
2 $1.13 $2.26

Degree Invisible Solid, Sheer Powder
1 $1.97 $1.97

Suave 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner
1 $2.06 - $0.25 Off $1.81

Alberto VO5 Herbal Shampoo, Sun Kissed Raspberry
1 $0.96 $0.96

Alberto VO5 Moisturizing Shampoo, Free Me Freesia
1 $0.96 $0.96

This will all ship to me for free and should arrive at my doorstep in about 2-3 business days. These are all products I use in my home and these are good prices for me. I don't live near a Walmart - the nearest big city is a good 35 miles away. I do think that Alice.com could be a great way for rural folks to save money because there are just some things I refuse to buy at my local stores because I know if I wait until I can get to town that I can find it much cheaper. At least with Alice.com, I am not burning up my gas on a trip to town.

Please also note that one item actually did have a coupon available and that was applied to my order. Alice.com indicates that the typical user can save $100s of dollars a year with those automatic coupons. Best of all, for those of you who forget their coupons at home or don't want the hassle of clipping them out of the Sunday paper or magazines, this is an awesome feature that will help you save time and money.

Items that you like or add to your cart can all be managed online. Alice.com will even alert you when you are possibly running low. This is a nice feature that I think will help get you the most bang for your buck since once you shop on site a few times, you will have been given the chance to add items to your product list and denote the frequency of use so that you will be alerted in enough time to order at a later date.

Another thing I liked about the site was the ability to search for items right in the search bar or search by category. You can even search by coupon savings or click to see the biggest bargains on the site. I am afraid I was a little too slow for the above-mentioned Snuggle, but it would have been a great deal. I'll be checking that price when it comes back into stock.

Overall, I think Alice.com is a site worth checking out. With so many Americans working longer hours or working harder in this tough economy, wouldn't it be nice to sit at home and order some household items online? I truly love that you can order 1 or 2 of an item and not a whole case. That means I can buy things in the quantities that I need so that I can save money and don't have to start shoving things under the bed due to lack of storage.

Finally, Alice.com does have a referral program so if you do sign up (registration is completely free) you can refer your friends and receive a benefit - 3% of their purchases for an entire year. They also receive a nice perk - they'll get a $10 credit in their Alice.com account once they reach $50 in purchases.

If you would like to give Alice.com a try, I'd love to refer you. Below is a blatant referral link, which would be subject to the referral program I just mentioned. Bear in mind that if a referral were to order $50 in items to reap their $10 credit, 3% of that is just $1.50 for the one who refers someone to Alice.com's site. So join the site, try it out and share your own referral link with your friends. The refer-a-friend information can be found at Alice.com under the Account section.
