Alexia Foods - I got a new BzzCampaign!

I haven't had a BzzCampaign in a few months. I was so excited to get a BzzCampaign for Alexia Foods. I am now a canned food snob, having found that frozen tastes so much better. I rarely buy anything in a can anymore! I'm also a bit tired of the regular fare and long for a little excitement at the dinner table.

For me, it is hard to find frozen veggie sides like that because I don't eat it if it has wheat in it. Wheat has a way of finding its way into a lot of foods that you wouldn't expect. What I do is spend a lot of time reading labels in the grocery store and, more often than not, I put a lot of frozen items back in the freezer.

After I got the Alexia Foods BzzCampaign, I began to look at some of their offerings. This exchange just took place:

Me: "Hey hubby. What would you think of julienne sweet potato fries seasoned with Chipotle?"

Him: Eyes alight... "I'll try anything once. That sounds good."

Bear in mind, this is the man who makes his own yams for Thanksgiving dinner because this one time early in our marriage I drained the whole can of juice, not knowing you needed it. Some things you just never live down.

I don't eat yams or sweet potatoes, so what does Alexia Foods have for me? I love Yukon gold potatoes and they have Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes with Sea Salt without wheat listed on the ingredients. Those I'd definitely try! I'd also try Alexia's Yukon Gold hashbrowns and their Oven Crinkle Cut fries. Because of the wheat allergy, I am sorely limited in safe fast food joints that don't put wheat in their fries, so I generally eat fries at home.... which brings me back to another nice thing -- that they mark WHEAT as an allergen right on the package in bold. Ah Heaven! I can tell at a quick glance whether or not I need to put it back or put it in the grocery cart!

I'm excited to get my BzzKit. If you want to learn more about Alexia Foods and what products they have to offer, please click here.
