Free eBooks for your nook (or smart phone) at Barnes and Noble stores

If you are looking to snag some free eBooks for your nook, you may want to take your nook into a Barnes & Noble brick and mortar store.  According to BN.com, nook owners can get a free eBook from "best selling authors" by taking nook to any Barnes & Noble store and showing it to the one of their booksellers at the store and receiving a voucher for a free eBook.  The voucher is redeemed at BN.com/redeem.

The titles change weekly so be sure to check the site to see which book is free each week.  Free until May 23:  Alexander McCall Smith's The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency.   Next up:  Jim Butcher's Storm Front.

Don't have nook?  Do you have a smart phone? an iPad?  You just need to take them to the store like you would a nook to get the voucher.

** Also check out the free eBooks on BN.com (I search for "free ebooks") to find an older Sidney Sheldon book called Rage of Angels.  It is free for a short time, according to the website.  Load up on freebies for a cheaper summer reading season. **
