Including fiber in your diet is essential to digestive health. When you think of fiber, you might think about something you stir into a glass of water that doesn't taste very good going down. Fiber doesn't have to taken in that way - you can enjoy a Kellogg's FiberPlus bar. This month, a new flavor will hit the shelves, Kellogg's FiberPlus Caramel Coconut Fudge, and I was sent a product sample to review here on Making Ends Meet! I do want to mention that this product is not gluten free, so I had to rely on the taste buds of others for this review.
Hubby: He liked the taste, but found the coconut a bit strong for him. He likes caramel and fudge flavors, but not so much the coconut. He did finish the bar, though.
20-something female friend: I visited a friend and asked her to sample the new FiberPlus Caramel Coconut Fudge. She loved getting to taste it before it hit the shelves. She assured me she likes coconut, caramel and fudge and said that she could taste all three equally and that, "it is really quite good." I asked her if she was concerned about fiber intake and she said she was. This product is something that she would grab for a quick snack and tuck into her purse to eat while on the go.
20 something male friend (husband of above): I left a FiberPlus bar for him to sample as well. He rated the bar an 8 out of a 10 and he never would have guessed it was "healthy" if his wife hadn't told him. He told her that the combination seemed to be a good blend of flavors. (She suggests wives buy these to encourage their husband's to eat a healthier diet.)
Aside from the new Caramel Coconut Fudge Flavor, Kellogg's FiberPlus bars come in Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate Almond, and Chocolatey Peanut Butter. Kellogg's FiberPlus bars offer 35% of your daily fiber, 7 grams of whole grain and antioxidants vitamin E and zinc.
