Last week was a scorcher here in Virginia. 100 degree plus heat, with heat indices between 110-120+ for last Thursday through Saturday. Sunday was slightly cooler with a heat index of about 101! My deodorant (and air conditioner) were working overtime. I couldn't imagine sweating like that all the time... how do people with excessive sweating cope? I recently was given the opportunity to try out Certain Dri, a deodorant recommended by doctors to help patients cope with excessive sweating. At a price point of $5.50-$6.00, Certain Dri is more affordable than other clinical strength deodorants on the market.
I don't suffer from excessive sweating, but I don't like to sweat at all, so I agreed to give Certain Dri a try. One thing I noticed as I read the usage instructions is that you are supposed to use it at night. So, at first, it was a little hard to remember to swipe it on right before bed, but I soon got into the routine.
Do I feel drier and feel like I am sweating less? Yes, I do. I noticed that I felt drier after a few days of use. I loved that the Certain Dri solid was not a wet roll on. It felt and applied a lot like my regular deodorant, only perhaps a bit... drier? Though I don't need this product for a it's main purpose, I do like that I can buy some extra strength anti-perspirant for the dog days of summer when I am going to sweat a lot more than any other time of year.
I did surf around their website and liked that it had a link to Certain Dri Teen. My niece suffers from excessive perspiration and it was embarrassing for her when she was in high school. She might have liked the information presented on that site. They also include a list of retailers where you can buy Certain Dri, such as Walmart and Target.. all places teens can shop fairly easily.
Did you know that Certain Dri has a sweepstakes going on until Labor Day? They've been celebrating the 100 days of summer with a daily giveaway of Certain Dri roll on or solid. Don't miss out - check out Certain Dri's Facebook page for more details and don't forget to enter. They announce daily winners once per week on Fridays at noon.

One of their tipa was about the fabrics you wear. I've always liked to wear natural fabrics such as cotton, which absorbs and releases perspiration quickly allowing the skin to breathe.
I would give the deodorant to my son to use.

I like this tip: Buy clothing that fits: It doesn’t have to be skin tight to look good. Tight-fitting clothes cause sweat to be trapped in a film on the skin, which can result in body odor or noticeable perspiration stains.

One of the Certain Dri tips I read was to avoid silks because silk is very unforgiving to noticeable sweat marks.
