TracFone an affordable cell phone option with no contract required

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TracFone for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

With the disappearance of iconic public telephones, you almost need to have your own cell phone for public safety.  I recently had to call 911 to report a drunk driver and had I not had my cell phone with me, I would have had to wait until I got home to report the fact that my honking is what kept him awake and out of oncoming traffic.  But cell phones cost more than the quarters and dimes we used to use to call people on the public phone and in today's uncertain economy, it's so important to keep your costs to a minimum.  It can be hard to balance cost with wants and needs, but TracFones have so many features that you won't be able to believe how affordable the service is or how nice the phones are!

One thing that I love about the concept of TracFones is that there's no contract required, and real TracFone customers appreciate that!  I, myself, hate being tied to a 2 year commitment.  I want to be able to shop around for services as my needs change.  I lose roll over minutes with a competitor almost every month and I hate paying for something that just ends up expiring.  If I could have gotten a plan with less minutes, I would have.

TracFone allows you to pay as you go, which you can do online or buy purchasing cards available at retail stores across the country.  If you're not a heavy phone user and just want a phone for emergencies or occasional calls, there's a plan to fit your needs.  One monthly plan is 200 minutes for under $30, and another is just $9.99 for 50 minutes.  A one-year service card offers better benefits with double minutes for the life of your TracFone (and 800 minutes) for $119.  Again, the level of service you need dictates which plan best suits your needs.

Another thing that real TracFone customers appreciate is no surprise bills!  A few years ago, I got one of those!  I'd unknowingly exceeded my minutes and had a $300 bill to show for it.  TracFone lets you call over 60 international destinations with the same minutes you'd use to call someone in the US, which makes TracFone a great choice for someone who calls outside the country.  They can even provide you with a local phone number in Mexico or Canada that allows them to reach your TracFone in the US.

If your budget is super tight, check out TracFone.  They have a variety of plans and phones that may just meet your needs.

What I like about one of Tracfone's low budget features is that even people with small budgets can afford $6.66 a month for Tracfone service and afford a $10 candy bar cell phone to give them an emergency phone line wherever they go.
What I find awesome is their family value plan that only costs $27.96 in total for 4 people/ month. I don't think any other company out there can compete with Tracfone's prices.
If you don't use your phone that much and you want reliable coverage, my vote is Tracphone plans.
