Reading is Sweet Book Drive during month of October at Great American Cookies!

October is a great month for a cookie... well, any month is a great month for a cookie, but during the month of October, Great American Cookies is holding it's 2nd annual 'Reading is Sweet' book drive.  Stop by a Great American Cookies store and donate a gently used or new book and you'll receive a free regular cookie of your choice.  Donating never tasted so good!

What a great reminder to go through your books and give them to someone else who will enjoy them.  I have many books that I'd be willing to donate, don't you?  I'm confident I can find many great and well-loved books that my children have outgrown that they could pass on to someone else. Ask your children to select some books to donate and take them with you so that they can feel good about supporting a worthy cause and the reward of a cookie isn't half bad either!

Freebie alert:

Select stores will be offering a free cookie (no donation necessary, but certainly appreciated!) on Saturday, October 1 between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM.  Please be sure to check the pdf listing on the Great American Cookies site to see if your store is one of those that is participating.

Last year, Great American Cookies collected over 7,000 books, which they donated locally to a library or other charity.
