Kids want or need a phone? What about Grandma? Try a TRACfone!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TracFone for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

My 10 year old begs me for a phone probably once a week. (I haven't caved... yet.)  I also know that eventually she'll be super busy with school activities in a few years and we'll want to get her a phone for safety and convenience, but we also know that being a kid, these things can get lost, broken, stolen, and that worry doesn't even cover that we want some control over how much she uses it.  A TRACfone is definitely something we'll consider.  It has affordable minutes and no contract requirements.  So there's no monthly bill.  We could choose a monthly plan that best fits her needs and our budget.  TRACfone currently has a plan as low as $9.99 for 50 minutes, or if we need more minutes, there's one for 200 minutes for under $30.  They even have a double minutes for the life of your phone available for $19.99, a great way to double up at a lower cost.  If we opted for a one-year service card, that would double the minutes for the life of the TracFone and offer 800 minutes for $119.00.

What about selection?  There are phones available with the features you want like a camera/video recorder, net access, abilities to  play apps, an MP3 player, and a full qwerty keyboard for easy texting.

Who besides kids can benefit from a TRACfone?  I was surprised to learn that my mom actually has a TRACfone!  She isn't a heavy user like me.  She's a senior with a limited budget and limited need for a cell phone, carrying one for safety reasons.  If your parents need a phone, but are wary of the cost and need something with larger buttons or hearing aid capabilities, check out Senior Value, which is available at Kmart.  So even your older parents can Get into Everywhereness and use a TRACfone for their needs.  You can even call internationally!

I'm certainly going to get my mom the Tracfone for seniors SVC Samsung T155g for Christmas. I've done a little homework on this phone and found it to be the cheapest in cost for seniors plus you only pay about $7/month for service. At least a lot more seniors can afford to carry this phone for emergencies. I would certainly feel more peace of mind knowing my mom can call me anytime from anywhere, as the phone is light and comfortable to carry in your pocket.
Thanks for the tip.
