Old Navy Best Tees: Soft, bright colored t-shirts for the whole family

Which Tee did I try? Old Navy Crew Neck in Astroturf Green!
Old Navy isn't just for teens and tweens, like my 10 (almost 11) year old might think.  Last month, we ventured into an Old Navy store in Richmond, Virginia with our budding brand snob to shop for some spring tops and bottoms.   I agreed to shopping at an Old Navy because I know their clothing is good quality and affordable.  Plus, they always seems to have a sale going on!

One of the hottest trends this year is super bright oranges, yellows, and greens --- you know, highlighter colors!  As she dragged me to the dressing room to try on some camis for layering, I looked at the racks from my seat outside the dressing room door and wondered if I was too old (and unhip) to be browsing racks for myself.  I'm a classic kind of girl -- jeans and a t-shirt.  What would I get for myself there?  I sure didn't want to look like a middle aged mom trying to look the part of a teenybopper.  Was too old to shop here?

Turns out that I'm not!  They have fashionable clothes for the whole family, not just tween girls wanting to wear the hottest fashion colors this spring.

That's one of the reasons I was super excited to get the opportunity to try out one of Old Navy's Best Tees.  T-shirts are my style and if you take a look at this video featuring .... who else?  Mr. T... you'll see that Old Navy has several styles of T-shirts to fit any style, including my own.

Old Navy Best Tee:  Softness

Mr. T was right... the Old Navy Best Tee T-shirt that I received was as soft as butter.  I couldn't believe how soft it felt against my skin.  No scratchy tags either!  Being so soft, I worried that the fabric would be too see-through.  I hate clothing that shows my bra to the public because of thin material.   When it comes to tops, one thing I do is pull it off the rack and hold it up to the light.  If I can see fairly clearly through the shirt, it goes back on the rack.   I was pleasantly surprised that you couldn't see my bra through the t-shirt.

Figure flattering and not too huggy!

I don't like shirts that hug my curves too much, but I also don't like feeling like I'm swimming in my shirt either.  I found a good balance with the Old Navy Best Tee I tried.  I'd selected a size medium, but then afterwards, I almost regretted not getting a large, mainly because I was afraid the medium would be a little too form fitting.  I was so glad that it fit well, and wasn't too snug around my chest.

What do you think?  I liked the color, though I typically do not wear green.  Affordably priced at around $8.50 to $22.50, they have many colors and styles you're sure to find bright and lively Old Navy Best Tee to wear this spring!

P.S.  Brightly colored t-shirts are an awesome addition to any Easter basket.  I prefer to not give my kids a lot of candy and clothes help fill the space of a basket very well.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Old Navy and received a product sample to facilitate my review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
