DIY: Make your own foaming hand soap on the cheap!

Does the price of a foaming hand soap refill make you sick?  It sure does me!  Nearly $5 for a refill bottle.  Fortunately, I can make my own way cheaper by just using a few squirts of shower gel and then filling the rest of the soap bottle with water and giving it a little shake to homogenize the soap and water.  This is a great trick if your husband complains about "girlie" smelling soap in the bathroom.  Just use men's shower gel (such as Suave's Refreshing) and voila, man-scented hand soap.

Works with regular hand soap and dish soap also. I usually get a bottle of the "good for your hands" expensive dish soap. Since dish soap is thicker, you dilute it more, and you still come out way cheaper than the refills. Whoever first thought to charge more for soap that is more watered down is probably very rich now.
