Length:  20 episodes, plus 2 bonus for a total of 22 (161 minutes)

As with other collections, Tom and Jerry: Tricks & Treats is a mix of both old and new cartoons featuring our favorite dualing duo in classic form, as well as a bit more modernized, doing a  more than just chasing and terrorizing each other.

You'll recognize some of the older clips.  Here's one of Jerry as he hypnotizes Tom.  Too bad he can't do that every time he gets caught by his nemesis!

And a newer clip showing the updated and more realistic looking Tom and Jerry.

One thing that occurred to me while watching this collection was that the newer cartoons seem to be "filmed" closer up than the older ones.  This aspect makes you feel more a part of the action.

Though you'd think "tricks and treats" to be Halloween themed, it's really not.  There is an episode or two with witch and one with a ghost, but you won't see a lot of Halloween hijinx in this collection.  About the only thing really Halloweeny is that many of the episodes feature Tom and/or Jerry in costumes (such as in the Mouseketeer short).  The more modern cartoons shorts focus more on Halloweeny topics (ghosts, for one) which means this collection is heavier on the more modern cartoons versus the classics that parents would recognize.

My son and I watched this and, being the T&J fan that he is, he loved it.  It's a nice addition to the DVDs we already own.  He especially loved "More Powers to You".  I liked "Fire Breathing Tom Cat"... where Tom steals a dragon's fire and gets a surprise at the end!

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this DVD from WB at no cost to me in order to facilitate a review.  The opinions are 100% my own or related to comments made by my family, who also viewed this DVD.
