Apple iPod Shuffle - as low as $49! - Think Mother's Day, Father's Day gifts

With the cost of memory finally coming down, so too will the cost of consumer electronics that use this technology.

A few months ago, I ordered an Apple iPod Shuffle as a birthday gift for my daughter. The price had been $69 and dropped to just $49, a much more budget-friendly amount. The 1 GB model will hold 240 songs. The 2 GB model will hold 500 songs and costs just $20 more.

Why am I posting this? Well, you can order these via the MyPoints site at the Apple Store and get two points per dollar (98 points). The Apple iPod ships FREE and you can have it engraved with a cute message also for FREE. With our daughter, this was a nice way to personalize her gift (plus, it would be easily identifiable if she lost it.)

The Apple iPod would make a great Mother's Day or Father's Day gift that won't bust your budget. They are very user friendly and can be recharged via your USB port or by using the adpater and plugging it into a wall socket. They are small, though. Not much bigger than a Hershey Miniature, you do need to have care that you don't forget to unattach it from clothing before washing. The Apple iPod would make a great Mother's Day or Father's Day gift for less tech friendly parents who enjoy music, but don't want a complicated player.

Want one? Just be sure to log into Mypoints first so you don't forget to earn points. Mine shipped super fast, coming all the way from China in just a few days time.
