I've been a member at Refundsweepers.com for several years. My older sister is responsible for getting me interested in using coupons and rebates to save money and she is the one who first turned me on to Refundsweepers.
Refundsweepers.com has several boards discussing rebates, coupons, freebies and a general chat board where members can get to know each other. Are you looking for ways to increase your frugality? Check out their frugal forum to see what other Refundsweepers members are doing to cut costs.
Many members trade on these boards and as a long-time member, I will offer these pearls of wisdom to help new members get off to a good start.
First of all, stop by the General Chat and introduce yourself. Though the board is friendly, this is the time of year where bad traders and scammers come out in force. Stopping by the General Chat board at Refundsweepers.com and introducing yourself could make trading much easier.
Secondly, set up a feedback link on the feedback forum. This will allow others to check your feedback. Again, this is the time of year where unscrupulous people stop by to make trades they never intended to live up to. Make small trades at first and have the other trader leave you feedback. Much like eBay, other traders want to see you have good feedback before committing to a larger trade.
Third, if you really want to trade and the other trader is worried, offer to let you send your end first. Once they receive your end, they will send yours. Though normally traders send their ends of the trade at the same time, being new can make some traders jittery about trading with them. Offering to send your end first is a show of goodwill and can help smooth the way for future trading.
Fourth, don't over trade. This is a busy time of year. Things happen - life happens... kids get sick, power goes out, etc. Don't trade for more than you can get out in a reasonable time period - usually next business day.
I hope these tips help you and you stop by Refundsweepers.com to see all it has to offer. Joining is easy - across the top bar on any forum, click the Login button. A window will pop up, then click Register. Tell them Sara_s_Mom sent you.
