Change you can believe in, literally. How are you spending your $13?

I know this is a bit of a political rant, but...

Change you can believe in. When I heard Obama's slogan last year, I must admit that I was thinking something more along the lines of policies. Hey, it is part and parcel of being the POTUS, the head honcho, the guy in the Oval Office. Tax cuts for 95% of Americans... well, perhaps he did keep that campaign promise...

The Stimulus Bill was mired in public discontent over the "pork" stuffed into it for social programs that if you really, truly thought about were nice, but not stimulative. When all was said and done, the Stimulus Bill just had to be voted on (The sky is falling, The sky is falling! Act now or we face armageddon!) last week, yet President Obama didn't sign it until this week. Well, I guess our Congress would have had time to read it after all considering that.

However, what kind of bailout did the American public get? Well, not much. Yahoo reports that President Obama's "Make Work Pay" will mean that starting in June, most folks can expect an extra $13 per week, which will be reduced to $8 a week next year.

Granted, Americans should be grateful for any kind of tax relief. But $13? That's like trying to put out a 3 alarm fire with a water pistol. Thanks, Congress! It is nice to see you are looking out for the little guy.

What will $13 bucks a week get you? How are you going to spend it to stimulate the economy? Are you going to save it? Or will you finally have enough quarters to run to the laundromat? Just curious how everyone will be spending their windfall. Please comment below.

I hear ya!

Frankly I am sick of the bad attitude and 'the world is ending' speeches from Obama. Whether you are for Obama or against him - I don't agree with the scare tactics he seems so fond of using and I hate that he was more concerned with getting the Stimulus Bill on his desk then giving Congress a fair deal in reading through it to make sure it was right. Which they could have done a lot better and a lot faster if they were given it on a computer file instead of printing out thousands upon thousands of pages. No wonder they had to contribute a few billion to Global Warming - to make up for all the trees they killed in printing the bill a Gazillion times!

Sorry for the rant in your comments - you started it! *kidding*
