Virginia Sales Tax Holidays for 2009: First up, Hurricane Preparedness

Virginia residents wishing to save money on sales tax should plan their purchases according to the Virginia's 2009 Sales Tax Holiday schedule. First up in May is a sales tax holiday for hurricane preparedness, including generators costing $1,000 or less. Bear in mind, Virginia is also prone to ice storms too, so now may be a good time to snag a generator for next winter. Late in the summer there will be a sales tax holiday for back-to-school and then in the fall, there will be one for energy efficient appliances. Click here to read more and be sure to mark your calendars with these important dates.
