Virginia Sales Tax Holiday - Hurricane Preparedness - begins 5/25

Starting May 25 and running through the end of the month, Virginia is offering a sales tax holiday on items related to hurricane preparedness. Batteries are included, as are many other common items.

For more info on the Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday in Virginia, check out this article I wrote a while back and also take note of the two other sales tax holidays - including Back-to-School in early August as well as the Energy Star appliances later this fall.

For those readers NOT living in Virginia or near enough to cash in on these sales tax holidays, this might be of interest... it lists the other states who do have sales tax holidays, as well as when they are and what type of merchandise is covered. Of course, living in or near DE means a sales tax holiday every day (Sigh!)
