This is probably the third or fourth time (I've lost count) that I've gotten pens free after ECB at CVS. Ten at a time, they sure do add up. Now some of you might be thinking I'm just a little crazy. But honestly, I have a pen monster in my house. I can never find a pen (can now!) and I've been grabbing extra freebies along the way in case hubby's work puts out a call for school supplies for needy kids.
Composition books are .25 at Staples til Wednesday only. These are great for journals and also for drawing books for little kids. Get the one that has graphing paper inside for a kid so they can make pictures out of the blocks.
I also managed to sneak to Walgreens to use my $5 Wags gift card I got from My Coke Rewards - that helped me cherry pick a little more. They had colored pencils for .49 each (limit 3, I think) so I grabbed a few of those too. CVS didn't have everything I wanted, but they gladly gave me rainchecks. Soon enough, the recycled pencil box and mini notebooks will be back in and I'll have my rainchecks handy. I do wonder, though, if pens will be back on ECB soon. A scan of next week's ad that I saw on a site does have the 100 page composition books free after ECB. It's nice to see something to roll those bucks on ;)
