Jumpstart's Read for the Record - Twitter contest today, going for the world record on October 8!

Are you on Twitter? If you are, make sure you tweet about Jumpstart's Read for the Record and use #jumpstart on your tweet. Today only - every 100th tweet with that hash tag after 8AM will win an exclusive copy of Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I found out about this great promotion through More than Eleven Moms and they wanted us moms to share this promotion with our readers to bring awareness to Jumpstart's Read for the Record event on October 8.

Make the pledge to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar
today. If you don't have a copy or don't win one Tweeting, Walmart does sell it for $8. The folks at Jumpstart will email you the day of the event to confirm your pledge (and that also serves as a great reminder in case you forgot). The net proceeds from Walmart's sale of The Very Hungry Caterpillar will be donated to Jumpstart. Last year's record was 700,000 and this year they are shooting for 1,000,000 people reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar on the same day.
