After my children were angels in church (or, more accurately, as good as we could expect them to be) we stopped by 7-Eleven to get free slurpees. As almost anyone knows, every year on 7/11 (that would be today to the clerk who at first insisted it was 7/12) that means free slurpees at 7-Eleven. He did finally come around to today being 7/11, but he showed us the free slurpee cups and told me it was hardly worth the bother... of course it was because I think they held maybe one ounce, if you were lucky. I'm talking taste testing cups the size of bathroom cups.
In past years, 7-Eleven's free slurpee day cups were an ironic 7.11 ounce size. Granted, we bought Slurpees today because we told the kids we were going for Slurpees and how could we not after such good behavior? But it really fries me since 7/11 comes around once a year and you would honestly think veteran employees would have a grasp of how this annual promotion works and what cups they should have gotten (or brought them out from the back, like they had to do for me one year...)
Maybe you have a better store near you who actually has the right cups? Pride in your company is something that is always good to have and that includes knowing your own promotions.
