Kiki's Maternity Fashions review (and $25 gift certificate giveaway - open US & Canada)

First of all, I would like to mention that I am *not* expecting!  I was graciously offered a review item and giveaway, which I accepted because I felt it would be relevant to my blog readers - mainly young women of child bearing age!  Frugal minded moms want to know how to save money and since a pregnancy lasts just a short time, it is hard to justify splurging a lot of money on maternity fashions.  Enter Kiki's Maternity Fashions --- fashionable clothing to dress up your baby bump!

What I received from Kiki's Maternity Fashions...

I opted to try out a lovely purple maxi dress.  Did I try it on?  Well... a girl just can't help herself.  Though I have no baby bump, I did try it on to see how it did fit since it was ordered in my size. The dress I received is no longer on site, but here's a pic of a dress that is cut the closest style-wise to the one I received.

What did I think of the dress?

It fit fairly well.  The fabric was a little thinner than I like and I highly recommend wearing a slip if you are concerned about underwear lines.  I also washed it and I didn't notice any fading.  I do recommend, however, immediately removing the dress from the dryer since it did wrinkle.  Catch it freshly warmed and hang it up for best results (and no ironing).  The fabric was stretchy all over - including the bust area - so I know that it would be great for someone who is just beginning to show and will serve them up through delivery.  Light weight, it will breathe during the summer months for those mommies-to-be who have the misfortune to be pregnant during the hottest months of the summer.  To be honest, I really liked the dress and it fit me well enough now as an unpregnant review blogger that I would wear it out and about.  It doesn't look like a maternity dress and I rather liked the style and give of the fabric - very comfortable!

I actually did look through a large portion of the offerings on their site.  I didn't think anything was outrageously price and the dress that I received retailed at just under $30, making it very affordable.   They add to their clearance section weekly, always making room for the latest styles. There's something for everyone - more conservative, long dresses for someone like me and loud, splashy prints for the younger crowd.  Summer's coming and now is the time to start shopping for spring and summer fashions.
