Hot Deal for College Students: Buy a Windows 7 PC $699 and above, Get Free Xbox!

This jaw dropping deal is one that you'll want to take advantage of if you're a college student between the ages of 16-19.  Please note, you'll need a .edu email address though.  Really, hubby wouldn't mind going back to finish his Master's to get this deal, but alas, he's a bit too old to qualify.

According to the Windows Experience Blog, from May 22 until supplies exhaust (or September 3, whichever comes first), students between the ages of 16-19 with a .edu verifiable address and/or a student ID and proof of age who purchase a Windows 7 PC costing $699 or more will qualify for a FREE X-box 360.  Wowza!  You have to make the purchase at participating retailers, which are:
  • Best Buy (brick and mortar)
  • Dell.com
  • The Microsoft store (online and brick and mortar)
  • HP.com
Of course, maybe mom and dad don't mind shelling out $700 for a computer, but might just want to keep that Xbox at home to avoid any study distractions.
