Discover is offering 2% cash back (vs. the normal 1%) on purchases made "this billing period" at Amazon this month. Check out the terms and conditions at the Amazon site. Of note, be careful that you're ordering from Amazon because it does say, "If a purchase is coded for a merchant other than Amazon.com it will not qualify.
It could take several weeks for the extra cash back bonus to appear on your statement though, but now is a good time to be thinking about picking up a few early Christmas gifts.
