I know, it's barely spring... but it's a great time to think ahead to the summer months and check out 2012 theme park discounts for military personnel. I have many friends who are military and I truly hope that they are able to take advantage of as many of these special programs as possible.
Busch Gardens: Hero Salute
Active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsmen are eligible for free admission under Busch Gardens Here's to the Heroes program. They'll have to register and be sure to come with ID and up to three direct dependents (aka wife and kids or husband and kids) or, if your spouse is deployed or otherwise unavailable, the dependent spouse can still be eligible for this free admission program. Check out more details at the Hero Salute linked above. Bear in mind... there may be black out dates and some parks may be open later in the season, whereas some parks are open year round. Program runs through December 31, 2012. Parks include: SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego, or San Antonio, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay or Williamsburg, Sesame Place, Water Country USA, Adventure Island. (Not valid at Discovery Cove and Aquatica)
Not free, but worth considering...
WDW is offering a special promotion for military members. They can get a 4-day promotional tickets for $138 each through 9/30/12. However, before you book, check your base first as prices may be different and you'll want to get the best deal possible. Plus, there are black out dates around the major holidays as well.
